I grew up watching the Joy of Painting® like millions of other kids in the 80's. I have always loved art in all its forms. My mom encouraged me in everything I tried in life; my dad not so much. One thing my dad did always push me to do was try the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique®. I had tried color pencil, pen and ink, chalk pastels, and pottery forms of art. I loved them all; however, I was mortified at the thought of painting with oil paints. I lost my dad in 1998, never fulfilling his wish for me to paint in this fantastic style. What a regret. I stopped making any form of art for many years, and then out of nowhere a Joy of Painting® video popped in my YouTube feed in 2016! It was Bob painting and talking and mesmerizing me all over again. I could hear my dad's words in his voice, "Try this, try this; you can do it. I know you can do it!"

This time I listened. I purchased a Bob Ross® Master Paint Set and my life changed forever. I found I could do this; I could paint like Bob Ross®. In 2017 I moved from Laurel, MS, to Tallahassee, FL, where I discovered there was a Bob Ross Art Workshop® just four hours from my house in New Smyrna Beach. I kept practicing my new found passion and tried to get into a workshop throughout the following years only to find they were already filled. Finally, in 2022 I got in and my life changed again. I met Nic Hankins and he taught me the Joy of Painting® in a greater way than I previously imagined. I have rediscovered the passion for art I thought was long gone, and dedicate all my work to my parents and family who have encouraged me along the way. I would love to share the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique® with you.  You can do it, I know you can!
